Andy Nogueira is a Principal Software Developer for the Research Transfer team at Autodesk Research. Located in the Toronto office, he is part of a team responsible for converting successful research outcomes into production-quality components and supporting their integration into products. His current assignment is working on the Chronicle project, described as "a new type of system that will allow users to easily share and learn from software workflows".
He comes to Autodesk with over 13 years of professional experience in the IT industry and has worked for medium to large-sized corporations in both the financial and technology sectors. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in Brazil and also holds several Microsoft certifications such as MCPD, MCTIP, and MCTS. He has participated in industry events as a conference speaker at Toronto Code Camps, DevTeach, and User groups. His interests include Web Development, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Cloud Computing, Parallel Computing and Video Streaming.
Fluent in a number of languages (eg. English, Portuguese, and Spanish), Andy enjoys running, playing tennis, riding his bike, and taking his dog "Maggie" for a walk in his spare time.
