Ruslana Steininger is a Software QA Engineer for the Research Transfer team at Autodesk Research. Her responsibilities include testing the AutoCam library in multiple product lines, authoring testing plans and maintaining QA records for such components as ViewCube®, SteeringWheels®, ShowMotion®, and Navigation Bar®. Her current projects include ToolClip™ and Marking Menus™. Ruslana also acts as the SharePoint administrator for the Research team.
Previous experiences include Customer Relationship Management (CRM) consulting, web design, search engine optimization (SEO), marketing management and database administration. Ruslana also held an internship position with Autodesk (Alias|Wavefront) in 2002. She received her Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Software Engineering from the Computer Science Department at the University of Toronto in 2003. Prior to that she pursued a degree in Journalism at Ivan Franko Lviv State University in Ukraine. Ruslana enjoys furthering her education and has recently completed professional courses such as the Oracle 10g Database Administrator program (Humber College, Toronto) and the professional Business Skills and Communication course (Dale Carnegie Group).
Ruslana is fluent in three languages (English, Ukrainian and Russian) and has a working knowledge of Polish, French, Spanish and German. Her hobbies include canoeing, photography, watching animation movies, playing poker and travelling.
