Partners: University of Colorado at Boulder, Personal Genome Project, Church Laboratory at Harvard Medical School

With the emergence of BioweatherMaps, we will one day be able to find out more about our environment, from tracking and correlating genetic data relating to humans and food, to the presence, flow, and spread of various bacteria and microbial life in our communities.

Led by the Knight Lab at University of Colorado at Boulder, the Personal Genome Project, and the George Church Lab from the Wyss Institute at Harvard, the BioweatherMap initiative and Autodesk Research started an outreach and research collaboration to raise awareness and explore design scenarios for future BioWeatherMap applications. The first instantiation of this collaboration occurred at TED Global in Edinburgh, Scotland in July of 2011.
