Ali Hashemi is a Senior Research Scientist at the Computational Science Research group at Autodesk research. His research interests include meta-heuristic optimization algorithms, swarm intelligence, big data processing, and high performance cloud computing.
Prior to Autodesk, Ali was a postdoctoral fellow at The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, where he worked on various research projects on large scale distributed systems.Ali received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in computer engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2004 and 2011, respectively.
