Ara Danielyan is a Principal Research Developer in the Machine Intelligence team at Autodesk Research.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science specialising in the area of Artificial Intelligence, and pursues his passion for understanding the workings of human brain by building robotic systems that can see and understand their environment.
Since joining Autodesk, Ara worked on a variety of projects, including PortfolioWall, Alias Studio, Maya, 3D camera management component, physics simulation library and Meshmixer. His latest projects involve the application of machine learning techniques to generation and analysis of 3D shapes, and reinforcement learning techniques to the motion of robotic arms.
Besides developing software, Ara enjoys hiking in mountains, playing tennis, free diving, martial arts, meditation and photography.
