Liviu received his MSc in Computer Science from the University of Toronto in 2016, specializing in Computational Photography. He spent his time reconstructing 3D scenes from 2D images and had the pleasure of helping teach Computer Graphics. Liviu also has a BSc in Computer Science and Astrophysics.
Once out of school, he joined the Complex Systems team in Autodesk Research. He worked on Data360, the high-frequency time series database that supports Dasher360, and Project Ajna, a computer vision system that captures and processes pedestrian activity.
Liviu is currently in the AI Lab in Autodesk Research. He previously experimented on adapting Project Kepler to the Forge.AI machine learning pipeline. He is currently working on building out the AI Toolbox for machine learning researchers, with a heavy focus on AWS.
Liviu's hobbies include rock climbing, tennis, soccer, board games, and video games.
