Mehran Ebrahimi is a Research Engineer at the Computational Science Research Group in Toronto, working on Project Dreamcatcher. His research interests include nonlinear finite element analysis, continuum mechanics, structural simulation and optimization, and design for manufacturing.
Mehran received his B.Sc and M.Sc in mechanical engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and his M.A.Sc from the department of mechanical and industrial engineering at the University of Toronto. The focus of his first masters was on continuum mechanics and defining strains in micro polar continua, and in his M.A.Sc he conducted a research on integrating topology, shape and size optimizations to design real-world engineering components satisfying reliability constraints.
In his spare time, Mehran enjoys amateur photography, reading books, and watching movies.
